Full restoration to this iconic heritage building in the heart of Tokai. Traditional Thatch Roofs was contracted to restore this beautiful thatch roof home in Tokai, Cape Town. The thatch roof was overhauled by drawing out the existing thatch reed to expose weathered areas and trimming off any decay. Spots where thatch had begun to degrade were completely restored and the roof was recompacted to a healthy, fresh finish before being coated with new thatch fire retardant.
