Traditional Thatch Roofs, established in 1986 has a remarkable history of executing diverse projects, including game farm lodges, restaurants, churches, lapas, gazebos, and traditional Basotho huts, along with custom designs across the Free State, Limpopo and the Western Cape. This breadth of experience showcases the company’s versatility and expertise in the thatching industry.
Our main base is in Cape Town on the West Coast near Blouberg, and we also operate in Limpopo, Mpumalanga. Our skilled team, with many years of experience, is ready to take on any project involving building construction, poles and thatch (Cape Dekriet).
We take pride in constructing traditional West Coast-style thatch homes with white gables and capping, a design inspired by the iconic Fishermen’s Homes along the coast and particularly popular in Jacobsbay and Paternoster.
